PayPal Integration with SendX (Email Marketing Software)

This article describes how you can integrate PayPal's Instant Payment Notification(IPN) with SendX.

In this article, we describe how to integrate PayPal's Instant Payment Notification(IPN) with SendX's Marketing Automation. This integration will give you the details of each transaction which happens on your PayPal business account using IPN and insert/update contact information on SendX and update their Lifetime Value.

This will enable segregation of paying vs non-paying contacts based on PayPal data and help you retarget them later.

These next steps will set you up for the integration:

• Go through this Paypal IPN Documentation to setup IPN on your business account.
• Add the following link to the form entry for Notification URL: https://app.sendx.io/api/v1/integration/paypal/team/<team_id>where <team_id> can be obtained from the SendX Settings > Site Setup tab.

• The PayPal IPN integration is done. You can have a dummy payment done on the business account to see the transaction details including payment status and amount. Relevant custom fields get added to the contact upon each transaction also as shown below.

Now, your PayPal customers are directly accessible through SendX and can be communicated to and targeted using their various custom fields.
